Ear irrigation is a safe and effective method of removing earwax using a gentle flow of warm water. The water is carefully directed into the ear canal to soften and flush out any build-up, leaving you with clearer hearing and greater comfort. This treatment is suitable for most patients and is carried out with care and precision by our trained clinician. We recommend using olive oil drops for a few days beforehand to help soften the wax and make the process as smooth as possible.
Earwax Removal using Microsuction
Microsuction is a safe, dry and highly effective procedure used to remove excess earwax or foreign bodies causing hearing loss, tinnitus and pain using a gentle vacuum suction device and magnified loupes. It is generally considered superior, as it involves no water making the procedure suitable for those with previous ear problems.
It is recommended to use ear drops (olive oil) 3-5 days prior to soften the wax.
